ARPIEM RD ASSEN

ARPIEM RD ASSEN

€479.00Price

Thanks to its character and originality, the new RD illustrates the DNA of the Arpiem brand.

It offers a unique complication, with a rotating dial that allows you to shift the dial by 60° and maintain intuitive reading of the time while driving – or on the handlebars – of your 4 or 2 wheeler.

This offset dial appeared in the middle of the last century, initially on pilot's watches. Quickly, it was proposed for models intended for car drivers and motorcyclists, this reading shift proving to be suitable when the wrist rests on the steering wheel or on the handlebar branch of the motorcycle. Even today, this type of watch remains the "driver's watch".

The complication offered on the RD allows the dial to be locked in the traditional “12 o'clock” position (REST position), or to be shifted (DRIVE position) by 60° to the “2 o'clock” position. This is a unique feature developed by Arpiem.

The RD ASSEN refers to the legendary Dutch racetrack, the "Cathedral", where the Dutch TT takes place. Attending a race in ASSEN is a real show, the circuit looking like a gigantic theatrical stage around which tens of thousands of spectators gather. NON STOP ENDURANCE TOUR, the mention on the crown, is the name of the first motorcycle race held in Assen in 1925.

AFFORDABLE QUALITY

Arpiem has developed a short design / manufacturing / distribution circuit, in order to provide the right quality at the best price.

The choices are always those of  affordable quality: proven and recognized Swiss or Japanese movements, the use of surgical-grade 316L steel for the cases, crystal-quality sapphire glass with anti-reflection treatment, DLC treatment ( Diamond Like Carbon) for black cases rather than the less resistant PVD treatment, the use of stainless steel deployment buckles for the straps, original and rewarding packaging.

ATTENTION GIVEN TO DETAILS

Arpiem watches are revealed in the details of their design: the use of the "triple layer" dial, the presence of a colored button, the discreet engraving of the central button, the elements highlighted on the dials which participate in the story associated with each model.
