The RACEMATIC TRB (as the TJW 3) has a crown treated with DLC. The DLC coating, Diamond Like Carbon, is a material combining the structure of graphite carbon and of diamond, and a variable amount of hydrogen deposited under vacuum in thin layers. Its name refers to the qualities of diamond found in the DLC: wear resistance, inalterability and low coefficient of friction. For these reasons, DLC It is used for drilling tools, for high-performance engines, in the optical industry and in watchmaking sometimes.

La RACEMATIC TRB (ainsi que la TJW 3) possède une couronne traitée au DLC. Le revêtement DLC, Diamond Like Carbon, est une matière combinant la structure du carbone graphite à celle du diamant et une quantité variable d’hydrogène déposée sous vide en minces couches. Son appellation fait référence aux qualités du diamant que l’on retrouve dans le DLC : résistance à l’usure, inaltérabilité et faible coefficient de frottement. Il est ainsi utilisé dans la conception des outils de forage, celle des moteurs hautes performances, dans l’industrie optique et parfois dans l’horlogerie.
